Jeannie Lawson
My experience, integrity, tenacity and positive outlook are the gateway to your homeownership goals.
“Home ownership is the American dream; it is a privilege, a right, a blessing available to all. Making that dream become a reality is the reason I became a real estate sales professional.”
Jeannie Lawson One thing you can’t tell by looking at or hearing her speak is that “Jeannie” as she is known, is Cuban. Yes, she was born in Caimanera, Oriente Cuba, very near the Guantanamo Naval Base. She migrated to the US with her family of mother, father, three sisters and two brothers in 1971 when she was 10. They lived in Brooklyn, NY briefly, then moved to Lakewood, New Jersey, where the family settled. Jeannie attended all public schools there, graduating top ten in her high school class. She attended Georgian Court University, in Lakewood and received a Bachelor of Arts in Education, with a minor in Business, Teacher education and foreign languages. She would years later return to obtain her Masters degree in Executive Educational Leadership. She also served as a Board member there for 12 years.
Most of Jeannie’s earlier career was spent in education. She worked at the NJ State Department of Education, and enjoyed a successful career as a statewide educational leader, serving as regional manager, director and finally as the County Superintendent of Schools of the State’s second largest 2 county - Monmouth. She was touted as an innovative and engaging leader, and received several community and partnership awards.
A career in real estate became a reality during her time of transition. Helping others attain their dream of homeownership and her love for home design and architecture suddenly merged and opened up new opportunities! Jeannie has now spent the past 13 years in real estate, gaining the Quality Service Award for two years and working hard for her sellers, buyers and renters. She is a Certified Distressed Property expert, which has helped many of her earlier clients with troubled mortgages find solutions and regain their path to homeownership. Her proficiency at getting optimal selling prices for her sellers and the best value for her buyers and renters has set Jeannie apart from the competition. She is also an experienced stager.
Family is very important to Jeannie. She is married to Eric, who runs a construction business; they have three successful adult daughters, and two young adorable grandchildren. They have traveled extensively through the Caribbean and Europe together on over 50 cruises! Celebrating milestones, birthdays and special events is a must, and the family does it with much fanfare! She enjoys fine dining, shopping, high fashion, decorating, dancing and traveling. She is fluent in Spanish and conversant in French. Jeannie is a multi-tasker, and loves having several balls in the air. She serves on several state and community boards and participates in many 3 charitable events. Working with her clients toward meeting their life goals, however, is the epitome of her goal as a real estate professional.
The Corcoran brand is a natural fit for Jeannie, not only because it boasts over 4,500 agents worldwide, but because of the seamless access to the NY/NJ markets.
