Tappan Zee Constructors has announced that $4.2 million has been allocated to three residential riverfront complexes to install noise-proof windows and doors. This is from a total of $20 million community benefits program that was launched by the state of NY. The three complexes to receive the funds are The Quay in Tarrytown and Salisbury Point and Bradford Mews in South Nyack. It will be up to the managers of each complex to determined when the new windows and doors will be installed.
On Friday, August 23, construction began on a temporary work platform on the Rockland side of the river. This will be a 1200 ft. trestle which will hold equipment such as cranes. It is expected to be completed in a few months. There is a similar one already on the Westchester side.
